Soft and Simple Cut Crease Look

I played around with some looks the other day and came up with this simple but beautiful look. A cut crease is a line in/a little above your crease. Rather than blending and shading, you are drawing in the crease of your eye. It adds some really fun dimension to your look and looks very modern. I also decided to pair this look with two lip colors to show how they can affect/change the eye makeup. 

First step is to prime. I used the Mac Paint Pot in Soft Ocher. This is a cream base that has a lot of coverage to cover up veins on your eyelid. It has a yellow undertone to help with redness and to brighten your eyes. Next I used the T LeClerc Mono Eyeshadow in Desert all over my lid. It's a soft color, that adds a beautiful sheen and some warmth. To deepen the crease before the cut crease, I used the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Bronzer. Using a bronzer on your eyes is always a great way to tie your face makeup into your eyes. It adds a lot of warmth to the look and makes a soft smokiness that will help counteract the harsh cut crease. I used this only on my crease, focusing on the outer v of my eye. Finally the cut crease! You can use any dark brown in this step, I personally used the Bobbi Brown Eyeshadow in Chocolate Caviar. I used this on a angled lined brush, slowly drawing a curved line a tiny bit above my crease. I did this so It could be seen with my eyes open. You might have to darken the line with a couple layers of eyeshadow. When you get a solid line, start flicking the brush up from the line to soften it. From here you can darken or soften the line as much as you please. (I decided to do a soft cut crease!) Next I used some brown liquid liner, Kat Von D Ink Liner in Hemingway. I did a small wing, nothing too dramatic. You can use the tape trick if your not great at making them even. Put two small pieces of scotch tape on the outside of your eyes. Drag the liner against the tape to create the perfect line. Finish the look with a coat of mascara, black or brown! 

This look could really go with any lip so I decided to do two. I used two Pexi Glosses from Make Up For Ever. (colors 202 and 304). The soft pink color makes the look very simple and  natural whereas the coral color makes the look more dramatic, like a modern twist on a classic pinup look.
