Review: Viseart Concealer Palette

I recently ordered the Viseart corrector camouflage palette. This is a high end Parisian brand that is pretty pricey. I wanted to try this to see if it was worth the price and lived up to the hype. This comes with many different colors  (green, reddish  pinkish, darker colors and lighter colors for all skin tones). They recommend using the darker colors as contour and mixing other colors to create the perfect color for you. It can also be used for highlighting and neutralizing.

I was very excited about all the many uses of this palette and tested all of them. When using the green (for redness) and the red (for purple under the eyes), it did a great job at covering imperfections but was almost impossible to cover with the skin toned concealer. It smeared and mixed in with the color I put on top. The darker colors for contour were much too orange for realistic definition. I do think having the mix of tones is great for creating a custom color though. Now for the consistancy of the concealer; it is very build-able and sets without creasing. It does settle in fine lines (but really i have never tried a concealer that doesn't). It is creamy enough to blend and smooth, but it isn't too creamy where it looks oily. When it sets it doesn't budge and doesn't need a setting powder. I was very impressed with the skin tone concealers!

On my second try with this product I used the red under my eyes, then a very light shade packed on top of it, and finally the correct shade for me on top of the light one. This eventually did cover the red, which did a great job at concealing my dark circles. The only problem I had with it this time is that it caked very easily. You could tell I was wearing a lot of concealer.

I always have a hard time with concealers so I was really happy to find this. It is the best consistancy and coverage I have ever tried. Saying that, I also think the rest of the concealers in the palette are not worth it. For how much it is, I wish all the concealers were amazing.

Collective Makeup Haul

Hope everyone's holidays went well! I have received and bought some makeup over the past months, and thought I would give you a look before the new year!

The first product I received is the Anastasia Beverly Hills Liquid lip sticks in Pure Hollywood (light nude) and Blush (neutral light pink). These are, as the name suggests, liquid lipsticks that dry matte. They have extreme staying power, but be sure to exfoliate before applying to ensure a smooth application.

Then I got a trio of Kat Von D Ink Liners in black, blue, and brown. The Ink Liner is ultra waterproof with 24 hour stay power. I use the Tattoo liner from Kat Von D and love it, so I'm expecting great things from this trio.

Next I got the Charlotte Tilbury Miracle Eye Wand. This comes with an eye cream and light coverage concealer. This product is meant to perfect, blur, and brighten the under eyes. I will report back with the results!

I was so excited to receive the Ko Gen Do Aqua Foundation. I tried this one and fell absolutely in love. It is a light weight, light converge, gel like formula. I'm interested in comparing this to the Giorgio Armani foundation.

Next I got the Hourglass Ambient Bronzer. This is a luminous bronzer that warms up the face. It is very beautiful but is very glowy and can look fake with too much product applied.

Then I got the Kat Von D Shade and Light Palette. I am going to do a full review on this palette soon! It is very beautiful and has very creamy matte colors.

Next I got the Soap and Glory Glam-O-Flauge gift set. This comes with three eyeshadows, a luminous powder, a lip gloss, mascara, and felt tip liner. I'm so excited for this because I get to try multiple products from Soap and glory.

I was very excited to get a Charlotte Tilbury Goddess Skin set to try out multiple products. It comes with wonderglow which is a gold shimmer cream. It can be applied under or over makeup as well as alone. It is supposed to add luminosity. Next is the wondercream. This is created to transform dull skin. Lastly, the goddess clay mask leaves the skin plump and glowing.

Finally, I received the Anastasia Beverly Hills Lustrous Lip Gloss set. It came with 8 extremely pigmented glosses. The darker colors are a bit patchy, and the shimmery ones are so beautiful. Overall really great.

Hope you enjoyed a loot at my collective haul!
