November Ipsy Bag

I recently received my Ipsy bag, with the theme of: The Stars are Aligning. Like always, you receive a cosmetic bag filled with 5 beauty samples. The bag this month has a galaxy print. Now lets see the products!

Luxie eyeshadow pan No. 290 ($6.00): This is a full-sized matte brown, mauve eyeshadow. The brand is paraben free, cruelty free, and hypoallergenic. The color is so pretty and perfect for brown or green eyes. The shadow is fairly smooth and pigmented but is a little patchy. When blended it loses some pigmentation, but overall blends nicely. I think this is great warm winter color!

Model co Highlighting Trio ($22.00): This is also a full-sized product. It includes a pearl cream highlighter, a peachy pink cream blush, and a warm golden cream bronzer. For me all of the shades are way too shimmery to use. All of the colors are beautiful but not practical. The creams held nicely and sink into they skin without disappearing.

Crown Pointed Crease Brush ($7.00): I'm not the biggest fan of receiving brushes from Ipsy because I'm pretty particular about them. This brush is very soft with synthetic bristles. It does distribute product nicely, but it is flimsy and hard to control.

Smash box Full Exposure Mascara (full size $20.00): I have used the smash box mascara before, and I was a huge fan. There are a lot of negative reviews on this, but I find it does a great job of separating and adding volume.

Cool Way Strong Hold Spray (full size $20.00): This products claims to add volume, hold your style, and stop frizz. I did not notice the frizz control, but it definitely holds a hair style well without the heavy feeling other hairsprays give. There also wasn't a significant amount of volume, but I received more when I put it on my wet hair.

I didn't love all the products in this bag. The eyeshadow is nice, the hair product is great and i'm excited about the mascara. Overall not the best. Hope you enjoyed a look into my Ipsy Galm Bag!

New Hair Routine

I recently updated my hair routine with a new shampoo and conditioner. I got a sample of the Alterna Caviar Cream in my Ipsy bag a couple of weeks ago and love it! When I got the full size I decided to try the brand's other products.

First the CC cream. Usually CC cream in terms of makeup means correction cream. In this case, the caviar cream really does the same thing. The product claims ten benefits: 1) moisture 2) shine 3) smoothness 4) softness 5) UV protection 6) manageability 7) strength 8) anti-breakage 9) heat protection 10) light hold. I have seen a dramatic change in the condition of my hair since I've started to use it! My hair is stronger and softer than ever! I recommend this product to everyone!

The shampoo and conditioner I chose are the Bamboo Abundant Volume. They claims to add volume, strength, flexibility, and sustainability. To get the full effect of the volume, you are supposed to keep the shampoo massaged into your hair for 3-4 minutes. I don't see a huge difference in volume but my hair definitely has more bounce and body. It leaves my hair feeling clean and smells amazing. The conditioner isn't anything special but does get ride of tangles very easily. Overall, I love the body the products give, but the one negative I have is that it leaves my hair especially frizzy.

Overall I am really impressed with this Alterna brand and really glad I found the products.
