Colour Pop Metamorphosis Quad

I recently received the Colour Pop Metamorphosis Quad. This quad was designed by Coffee Break With Danni who is a popular youtuber! There are four eyeshadows, all very unique. The overall texture of Colour Pop shadows is like a mouse but applies like a powder. The eyeshadow is very soft and movable with your finger in the pan. I have never seen an eyeshadow like it; they're great! The pigmentation is amazing with fingers, and synthetic flat brushes. The only problem with them is that the eyeshadows are so creamy they don't work well with natural bristle brushes or blending brushes. Working with a crease shade is very difficult but can be done. It starts out with barely any pigment but can be built up to resolve the problem. Overall this quad was so fun to play with!

The first shade is Strength. It is a satin finish warm tone light brown. This shade is great to warm up any look. It can be used as an all over lid shade, in the crease, or my favorite way, packed onto the outer corner. When I put this color in the outer corner I will usually pair it with a champagne pigment or one of the shadows from this quad. Next is Bravery. It is a Matte dark brown. This shade is great for definition on the lash line or an all over lid shade paired with another shadow from the quad. This shadow is much easier to user with fingers (with a brush it doesn't apply evenly). Out of the 4 shades this is the least creamy.

The next two shadows are both sheer opal finishes. These are meant to go on top of other eyeshadows/creams. You can use the two eyeshadows above as a base. They give them a different undertone depending on the tone of the sheer opal. They also add more dimension and shimmer (almost giving it a wet look). Kindness is warm brown pink (which is the part that is sheer) with a metallic silver, blue, and green sparkle. It gives other shadows a warm undertone with the layer of metallic shimmer. The last one is Hope. It is a creamy white (sheer) with light pink and purple shimmer. it gives the base shadow a frosty finish with the shimmer.

The top swatch is Maybelline Inked in Pink Color Tattoo, next is Hope, and last is the two together

The fist swatch is Maybelline Color tattoo in Bad to the Bronze, next is Kindness, and last is the two together.

I really love this quad from Colour Pop! It has great quality, unique shadows. I recommend these shades to everyone! Hope you enjoyed the review!

When To Go Drugstore

I have never been one to get most of my makeup from the drugstore, but I have realized that there are many beauty products that are just as good as high end.

Face wash and moisturizer: Face products are a very personal thing. If your skin gives you a lot of problems, I would say go high end, but if you have semi normal skin, like I do, I would try out many from the drugstore. The good thing about the drugstore is you can try out a lot for an affordable price and find the right one for you. (I use Aveeno for sensitive skin.)

Primer: If you're someone who really needs to ensure your makeup stays, I would say use a high end one. Also, high end brands offer a ton more types of primers that range from mattifying, to luminous, and even correcting. The ones in the drugstore stick to only silicon bases. (I use the Hourglass Primer to smooth and perfect my skin.)

Foundation: Not everyone will agree, but I always say use high end foundations. Since the makeup is on your face all day, I like to know that it is the best quality possible, and that it will benefit your skin in positive ways. (When I use foundation, I use the Gorgio Armani Luminous Silk.)

Concealer: This is a hard one for me because there are not many concealers I like. I do know a lot of people who use both drug store and high end. Again, if you have any skin concerns, I would go high end. (The only concealer I like is the Charlotte Tilbury Retouch Pen.)

Powder Blush, and Bronzer: A lot of drugstore brands have great powder versions of all these products, but, if you would like a more diverse range of colors and finishes, I would check some high end brands for creams, gels, etc. (My favorites from the drugstore are the Nyx and Malani products.)

Eyeshadow and Eyeliner: I prefer high end eyeshadow and eyeliner because they usually have a better pigmentation and texture, but the drugstore is a great place to experiment and play with them. You never know; you could find your new favorite product. (I love the Urban Decay eyeliners and Smashbox eyeshadow.)

Mascara: There are so many great mascaras from the drugstore, so, unless you can't find a good one for you, I would always go to the drugstore for this one. (I love the Covergirl and L'Oreal ones.)

Lip Products: Same as mascara - I would always go drugstore because there are so many types and colors that you can try for an affordable price. (My favorites are Revlon and Nyx.)

Hope you enjoyed this guide for when to go drugstore! Remember these are just my opinions and might not be right for you!
