Flawless Face Coverage

On most days I don't wear foundation, but when I do I have found the perfect combination of products for me. It's important to start with a primer that will enhance you skin and make your makeup last. I am trying out the Hourglass Veil primer. It is a creamy texture that makes your skin look glowing and natural with a hint of silicon to make the makeup last and smooth over imperfections. I really love the way it leaves my skin looking and feeling. For foundation I love the Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation. It can be a low to high coverage foundation depending on how much you use. It leaves a glowing but not dewy finish. I use my wet Beauty Blender to apply this all over my face. The sponge gives a very natural skin like blend that makes the foundation better on top of its already great quality. I am very picky with concealers, so most of the time I will use a tiny bit of the foundation under my eyes. Usually when I wear foundation it is for a special occasion or event, so I wear HD powder so my face does not appear white in photos. I love the Cargo Blu-Ray Powder. It gives a little extra coverage but not enough to become cakey. I have found that this powder is perfect for photos and sets my makeup perfectly. After this I will apply any other face products I want, like blush, bronzer, or highlighter, and then I'm done!
Hope you enjoyed my foundation routine!

Mexican Makeup

I recently went to Cabo San Lucas Mexico for spring break. We passed through a store called Mega which is their version of a Target. I was interested if they had any makeup brands we didn't in the US. They carried Revlon, Maybelline, Cover Girl, Jordan, and Eco Tools. I noticed a brand I have never heard of called Zan Zusi; it is a 100% Mexican brand that is low priced. I picked up three products to try to get a feel for the brand.

The first product is an eyeshadow trio. The colors are neutral and all have shimmer. The texture is a little chalky but has amazing pigmentation. It comes with a very light lavender color, rose gold, and dark burgundy purple. I was actually very impressed with this product. The colors go really well together and can be put together for a great eye look. I used the colors from lightest to darkest from the inner corner out to create a gradient look.

The next product is gel eyeliner in a bottle with the brush included. The formula is a little goopy which makes it hard to apply, but the color is black and very pigmented. The brush is really fine and good for application, but it frays at the sides. Overall the product is ok with a few flaws. I did a thin line with this product that got thicker towards the outer corner.

The last product is a volumizing mascara. The brush is a non synthetic large spoolie. The product collects in clumps on the brush but applies non clumpy and adds separation. It lengthened my eyelashes a lot but added no volume. I was very impressed with the effects of this mascara, though they were not what the brand claimed.

I hope you enjoyed a look into a different makeup brand! I feel as if this is the Mexican version of Wet and Wild.
